    oil pump

    hi, just took my oil pump apart and was wondering what parts I should measure, I was looking at the article on here about oil pumps, but the picture aren't there to tell me where to measure so does anyone know

    You need to measure the clearance between the rotor tips as they get tight to the circular insert with feeler blades.

    Also look for deep scoring marks inside the pump body.

    I can't remember the tolerance off the top of my head, I'm sure there was a picture somewhere on here with them in a table at the side.

    CGB do new internals for oil pump about £70 I fitted these as at time car was 19 years old and had done 130k
