    cork sump gasket

I've just looked on Mike's website and seen that he sells a cork sump gasket. Has anyone got any experience of these? I always seem to lean towards using too much sealant, so this is appealing to me.

I might do this to, gasket and a smidge of sealent. I just can't help but put way too much sealant on I'm always thinking I don't want it to leak I'll put a bit more on

The gaskets don't work to well. I went through a couple and they both leaked.
Loctite black sealant sorted it and we binned the gaskets.

I am with Marc, replaced my sump a few years back with cork type and the fecking leaked constantly, ended up removing and just using the Loctite sealant I always used previous and no leaks

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

Also very important detail to tighten the sump in the correct order and to the right torque. I don't have the torque specs. But I can find out if necessary.

    Regards
