Well with outstanding project car work and losing a week rebuilding the octavia 4x4 chances of getting the track beast out for this track day are zero and only needs 2 full days work to finish
I do however plan to try and get the 1st VX220 TFSI conversion completed for a shake down if possible - a shed load of work left to do but moving it to my garage at home this week to focus on it between work, farther duties and house stuff after moving in lol
Not helped last night by the fuel pump on the octavia giving up on way from home and loosing the evening which had planned getting my trailer - bloody cars!!!!
So 375bhp high compression direct injection audi s3 lump, 6 speed box, lsd will not be fitted in time and the geo will not be done and or the suspension / brake work needed lol. Sure it will be just fine LOL
But fingers crossed will be out as cant take another year of attending RTOC ND/ track day without a bloody car of my own working
DG
Work to be done this weekend with Matt at Codered:
Fit Spax RSX coilovers and adjust ride height
Fit Eibach camber bolts
Front geometry setup for negative camber, toe out
Fit Whiteline rear anti roll bar
Locate ESP problem
Next week, balance front wheels
check levels and see what grip is like in a 430hp audi quattro
Im 99% ready now, brakes are done, new tyres are on, cv boot and rear wheelbearing are done finally
My list just got very short
Just need tax now, went through MOT without any issues today. Going to clean interior before making my way up though, looks a bit dirty
Then just need the rest of the list for the car
Rear window swap
Rear Raider sticker on
Hot air feed
Exhaust heat shield brackets
Dash wiring loom
Raise back end up a bit
replace engine brackets with re-plated ones
Sort out radio to get working
Think thats pretty much it
Need to sort my brakes out now, in the wet its locking 1 rear and 1 front
Im ready, just need to turn the boost down. Seems the new actuator is doing its job too well
MOT on Friday
Good luck Alex, sure it'll be fine
Good luck mate.
So with just over a week to go how is everyone doing with getting their cars ready?
Im all ready apart from a hoover out and an extra layer of ag hd wax.
2 new tyres to fit Weds then really i need new front disks and pads if im to hoon on track. might just pop along and spectate
All done bar having the wheels balanced and ESP, ESP i can deal with and the wheels i'll have balanced once they're off the car. Just ordered some 15mm spacers to go on the front just to fill the arches a bit more so the wheels will come off when they arrive hopefully Tuesday/Wednesday
Will dig out the camping gear this weekend:
Tent
Inflatable mattress
Sleeping bag
Then check the tools, jack, pump, torque wrench are in order. Charge up the MP3 player, dig out the coolbox for the drinks
Failing that, just bring extra wads of cash or credit card to cover any 'problems'
Ready to go finally, scrubbed in my new r888s on the back roads lastnight
Dare I say it I am almost ready just a oil change, fresh Thermostat and a clean of the car away from being ready.
Oh maybe a little increase in boost too.
With thanks to BW TURBOS my t25 came back today from repair so all I have to do is fit it play with the boost and fuel and an oil change then were good Togo..
MOT passed yesterday - just needed a tweak on the handbrake. Just want to have a quick look at some advisories that were picked up on today.
Just shortening my down pipe, got a fMIC to trial to see if it cools enough, got an exhaust pressure test to do, then put it all back together and clean her up.
Friday morning - pack up and get on the way.
I love this annual event - If there is only 1 event to go to - it's this - great people - great action - Looks like the sun may even put in an appearance.

I cleaned out back of the Extra van today so i have room to fit my inflatable matris in there, no worrying about buidling tents for me this year!
