amazing mate!!
Well its been little while since updated this thread so thought let you all know how it coming along
Since last update i've been buying alot more of the stupid little bits i needed to get, connectors, relays, wiring, fuel lines, etc.
I've managed to modify the downpipe again, i wasn't happy with the angle it sat at under the car and it also hung too low so i bought a new 90deg 3" pipe and 2 flanges and modified it. Its now completed on car and sits alot higher up and angle of downpipe is much better too, also having the 3" flanges means the exhaust is easily unbolted now rather then trying to force it out the slip joint
Engine wise i've got the AEM boost controler fitted, turbo re-fitted with new oil feed, oil pressure sender unit mounted and a few other little jobs. Tomorrow i plan to spend another day on it so will see what else i can get finished off, hopefully i can do all the wiring for the fuel system in the back
Unfortunately the sites not letting me upload pics so i can post any, no idea why it won't let me but i've given up trying now as everything i do it still won't let me

Boost hose's are off at the moment having them powder coated but once they are back they be going on and looking even more complete

Looking good matey
From what car is your radiator ?
Cracking stuff mark looking the part now did get the picture txt earlier but I have been out all day with no reception to reply keep it going mate atleast you have an engine for your car
Fingers crossed you'll be having an engine by tuesday too!
Yeah deffinately making progress now, i even done abit more to it after i took the picture
I'll be doing even more this week now its lighter in the evenings, try get all the little bits done and connect all the hoses/vacuum lines up
Bit more progress this weekend, i've been busy changing various vacumn pipe fittings on the inlet manifold and one way valve so they look and also seal better.
Also been busy making and fitting the mounting plate for the coil packed, only place i really had left was above the alternator so made a plate which mounted on the original alternator bracket. Seems nice and sturdy but not entirly happy with the HT leads so will prob have some new ones made up soon.
While was working down there got the new engine mounts fitted from Logg, nice fit i got to say.
Managed to paint few water pipes, secure the new fuel lines up, make up the new timing sensor bracket for the gearbox and few odd jobs too while had few bis off.
I've ordered new oil catch tank, filters and pipe for water temp sensor, once there in i'll be fitting them up and then once the exhaust downpipe is on i'm pretty much done ready for wiring
looking good buddy
Spent fuul day on it today, keep it simple i got a fair few bits done to it today
-rear suspension raised to standard height
-new downpipe finished and fitted (heat wrapped too)
-oil return for turbo made and fitted
-FPR fitted to new location in scuttle area
-new catch tank fitted
I managed to get my new twin headlights fitted while ago but never mentioned it on here. The covers are off at moment being painted so will have them back on soon.
Also today i thought spend bit of time fitting my new drag slicks, well i need to alter coilovers settings abit, trim the arches a fair bit and cut some new arches up (will need painting again) but got to say please how there fitting
For the engine only got to fit the vernier pulley, new AN fittings for fuel lines plus few clips for water hoses and then all thats left its wiring!
The end is in sight!
Looks great mate .
Looks a little mad max with those slicks
Car looks amazing matey, looks like a 5 again. Looks awesome with the big slicks
Still getting over the shock of you working on it tho
Proper tyres
5quid that screamer pipe sets fire to the wing
Looking good, Mark. Chop chop though, you've been saying for the last two years it'll be finished soon
That intercooler is ridiculously massive!! But I love it.
Definatley one I want to see..
Cheers for comments guys, i'm more than keen to see how its going to perform too been far too long now but so glad light is at end of the tunnel now.
Yeah Adam, have been saying abit too much over the years haven't i!
Brigsy, know you like a good tyre shot here's another of them on the car. I might get another set of arch's and trim them with a slightly better curve them these ones but might try these in primer first and see how it looks
That looks so mean Mark! Getting close now
Edit: just seen whats sticking out of the wing
Only little update today, nothing special but least another job off the list
I got my freshly painted headlights and grill back about a week ago, thought as finished early and before i relaxed the the sun (got to make most of it! ) i fitted the bits to the car.
Front end now looks like complete car, next sunday should be the big push to finish the last new bits
Looks really nice, quality finish to the front end..

I love the stealthy look of the car...
Looks awesome mark! Id be tempted to make some wider o.e style front arches like glens
Looking good mate
Cheers mate
I know you've said to me its fairly easy to do the wiring but i think this car will be coming your way if you fancy wiring/mapping it.
As its my first time doing one so i'll take ages to do it, as time not on my side at moment with being abit busy plus i would like to have it done for July time thinking it be best if sent it to you if you fancy doing it mate
Bit of an update today, Dave Reed popped over today and helped me with wiring the car up. Yep thats right the car is 75% wired up now!
We couldn't finish it all today as i ran out of wire covering and need 2 more plugs but most of it is done and routed so won't take much to finish it off.
A big thanks has to be given to Dave for taking time out to help me, one big step closer to completion now
Also while i had the bonnet off i completed to last few alterations to the water system (new routing of pipework) and fitted the vernier pulley on, after we finish a few jobs tomorrow we'll be carrying on with the work on the car so maybe in 2 weekends time i might be able to download a base map and finally get the car started for first time in 5yrs!
Is it possible to freeze injectors? I reckon you'll be giving it a damn good shot with that cooler.
Top stuff mark getting there now mate keep it up
Just re-read the thread from start to finish, top work, will be good to see the results, and what a b18ft can really do...............
