Thats sits on the crank cap on the flywheel side, it seals the sump the the block
but i do not understand why the shape is different
Its a slightly different shape curve to the timing cover side plus the littl lugs are different to tell you which side they go onOriginally Posted by chipis
One groove is narrower than the other. And one of the round locating "tabs" half way along is also slightly different so you cant mix them up basically
ok, so this seal should be fitted between timing cover and oil pan cover?
