MMM, thats really interesting as I used to collect vintage Tamiya's and had a brand new Renault 5 Turbo.
There are no details on the Tamiya Club Website on this, but when it is realeased I could probably source this at a better price if anyone is going to buy one.
You can already see what Chassis this will use though "M05RA".
I'll look forward to getting one of these
I know what I want for Christmas now first time in about 15 years
interesting................... as the original was 1/12 scale
mmmmmmmmm where's my xmas list toooo
im interested

This was the same chassis as the Renault 5 Turbo. I made this video quite a few years ago now.
Thread revival...
So who else got one?
A few bits to finish up like stickers and trimming the bits poking out the top.
it pays to bookmark cool stuff. Complete surprise on Christmas Day
That's the coolest thing I have ever seen .........want want want
That's cool, they need to make these in 1/8th with a rallycross platform and a 21 engine
mine just arrived, a nice little project over easter
It's good fun putting it all together.
You get some pretty savage tuck on the rear. I robbed some rear arms and stuff from an old car to get it sitting and handling better.
Before
After
not sure if its gonna be a shelf queen or i might just put a brushless system in for a bit of boost
scratcher, do you do a bit of model car racing? i am on with mardaves at the minute
Na, it's something that's interested me but I've never looked into it. I wouldn't have the skill anyway
I just had the other tamiya cars from buying one cheap off a mate and swapping some mk1 Astra Recaros for one years ago
I won a british national race meeting with a mardave meteor back in the day. Still got it in the loft.
check out this badboy, almost finished
Nice that Robbo where did u get the paint from ?
Looks great
Wow! That looks amazing
Makes me want to go and cut the stickers out for mine. I can never be bothered with it though
I had one too but the mechanical speed controller stuck on and burned out
I then upgraded to a Kyosho Laser ZXR! Awesome! I even sand cast some front wishbones in aluminium for a school project as I was always snapping the plastic ones!!
Those were the days, it wasn't how much boost you were running it was how many turns & winds your motor had!
