    crankshaft regrind

    hi ive just taken an engine apart ive just bought and found the crankshaft definately needs reprofiling or whatever you call removing metal from it to remove dibbits whats the maximum i can go as to still be able to use it as i dont have a clue any help would be grateful ps in dummy talk please

    i think polishing 0.25mm would be fine

    had mine done years ago and has been fine.

    You have to get matching oversized bearing shells. I think mine were taken back by 10 thou and 25 thou, not sure now. But Federal-Mogul did the shell sizes and Gosnay's Engineering matched to those.
