Random pics from weekends startup, cooling fan and anti perc all work spot on!
Not much progress this weekend - but got original airbox on!
Little bit of progress today, fitted some samco boost pipes and the rear bumper, so sort of getting there now!
Picked up some excellent respray work from my mate Steve today (quality is brilliant). Going to start reassembling later this week cant wait to get the car on the road!
Just finnished putting the car back together am absolutely knackered! Has turned out alright - just need to get roof linning fitted and my replacement boot put on!

Definately proud of the outcome, couldnt have sorted it without your help though Jon, plus steves welding and spraying!
Wasnt happy with how the front bumper and grill sat, so after a few adjustments I managed to get it all nice and straight!

Today was MOT time and the R5 passed (after a little carb adjustment by Jon)
Also have had - 30mm front springs fitted and a pipercross airfilter as the standard airbox wasnt liking my current setup.
Many thanks to Jon (5279) for helping out with the R5 today and getting soaking wet changing the front springs

Anyway took the R5 for a spin the other day, couldnt resist this photo!
Reading threads like this really gives me inspiration to continue getting my 5 into shape and it shows it's worth all the hard work.

R5 is still rough round the edges and it needs all the paintwork flattening and then machine polishing but ive set out and done what I wanted to which was get a standardish looking r5 with a few engine mods!
Hopefully next year will get the replacement boot on and get remainder of the paintwork sorted but that alldepends on available £'s.
Anyone on here a good detailer who could sort my paintwork out?
