nice idea on the seats, should look well.
Im hoping to get mine on the road next month, had a nightmare last friday, after a full service i decided to take it for a spin down the country lane near my house, ended up stalling it a mile from home, couldnt start it as the battery was dead then i couldnt open the bonnet as i hadnt put the catch back on properly! cut a long story short i had to get towed home, wreck my newly painted bonnet to get it open, so ive had to source another that now needs painting
also waiting on some ats classics to use along side the original wheels. will do a project thread when shes on the road in a few weeks.
if your ok with a spray gun i would do it yourself,
50quid for a booth is a bargain, id snap that up. sadly i dont have access to one anymore so i kitted my garage out with an industial extractor fan and polymask sheeting and a warm day!
i know its classed as a 3 stage pearl but its not like some 3 stage pearls that are bad for colour matching and hard to get an even finish.....
only thing is being a pale colour you need to make sure its clean and free from specs of dust between coats of pearl, as theres not a lot of play if you need to nib the pearl coat! a bloody fly landed in my roof on the second coat of clear and left a tiny brown mark, but even though im a painter im not that anal and will live with it!
- im sure anyone on detailing world would be slitting there wrists
painting outside a booth its a very time consuming colour, it took me all day to do 4 coats of base, 7 coats of pearl and 2 coats of clear. good luck with it.
