i told him to wack a turbo on but hes not up for that. he has been thinking about re-map possible superchip and uprated cam, port and polish head etc but does not know where to start
I'm sure its not what your mate wants to hear, but depending on the age of the focus, he would be much better buying a car with a larger engine than spending money on the modifications you have said that have little gains for a lot of money.
Is it an early focus? ST170's..................plus think of all the other stuff the car comes with over the 1.6
My wife had a 1.8 focus years ago and to be honest i thought that was slow.
heres a pic of his focus, he wants to keep the 1.6 zetec lump just wants to make it go quicker
Airfilter, might make it sound faster. he'll have to spend alot of money to get an increase he'll be happy with. Best way and cheapest way to make it quicker is to make it lighter. If he wants to blow his money tho, i'd say cams and remap. or stick a 2.0 in it, even they're disapointingly slow.
is it an estate too.................all my days. I can see why he wants to keep it
Not my thing at all. I'd be more impressed if it was battered up and had 3 wheel trims, at least then it would be a sleeper. Its all show no go at the minute
tell him to save his money mate no point even trying spend on a 1.6 zetec especially in an estate, 2.0 zetec turbo now thats a different story
Is this a joke or is that really his car ?
