annoying relay!!

the big white square relay that has a green orange 2 brown and a black wire (i think) and sits in the passenger foot well on the left clicks every 10 seconds regardless if the ign is off or not what does this relay do? what could i have done to make it do this? I have just fitted an alarm so i assume i done something wrong also the radio dosnt work dont know if its related but thought id mention it
