Never seen a chrome one before! looks good
snap same here but not saying that its not been done before, it does look well will go with the chrome rocker cover and strut brace i have under there
did you have it chrome plated? Any assembly problems with the thickness of the plating??
Looks really good
Edit: just read you painted it!
i used chrome enamel paint (spray) obviously taped everything up etc its come out really well and thats just one flash over
looks good mate.
nice one steve think i might chrome a few more parts when the engine comes out
As long as it doesn't start flaking off
well iv got the proper primer and wipes etc here so hopefully that will help, but if it does can soon re paint
Wallace has a chrome carb
Looks good, how much is that spray? Mite get some for my blanking plate
looking goood
I used Simonz "chrome" spray paint, and to be honest its utter toss
Sprayed a few things with it (not just car bits) and it just seems to dust off onto your fingers everytime you touch it
Ill check what make it is when i get back home. I do know none of it dusted off on my fingers when it was dry.
i polished mine...
i cant handle it thats to much bling for me rite there....can i dig it?....er' NO!!!!
could you anodize a carb
chrome....nah!!!!......anodise....ur kidding rite!!!!
go....LEOPARD SKIN !!!
What about matt black, bad boy carb!
bet they charged a bomb for it if they did
before/after
i used high temp paint then silver alloy paint
I prefer it before
Looks nice - Good effort
5 Carbs are magnesium arent they? Cant remember where i read that or how true that is.
My old mans been on about soda blasting some of his alloy bits on his hot rod so we have been gathering the nessacary tools to give it ago and we are going to try it on a spare carb later this week to see how it brings it up. Not looking for a mirror finish though just want it to look like new

is that some kind of heat paint, that exhaust stuff?
Yep, just Halfords VHT paint
Not sure how hot the carb gets, you might get away with normal paint, I just had that in the shed at the time.
