So, who has been working hard to get their car back on the road lately and keeping the Renault history going?
So, who has been working hard to get their car back on the road lately and keeping the Renault history going?
i let my mate have my black one which he's putting loads of effort in to get it back up to scratch..
i picked up my grey one which was in bits and is slowly turning into a fastroad track car.. trying to keep it on the road at all times rather than doing it all at once or i'll lose interest.
Funny you should say that, my little car is back on the road as of Sunday.
Almost... ive not got it on road yet started a different engine idea already... will be running in aprill.
not me.
mine was working perfectly until i took the engine out last night. lol
i did 5 months ago.. not its dead again for a while.... hopefully not too long.
mine was a month or so ago, but still not left the garage due to weather.
I got the Gordini out for a little run today, then proceded to break down after about 3 miles. Topped up with some fresh expensive petrol and everything seems ok after a short blast. Snow has stopped play again now though.
Well I think my insurance claim has finally been approved so please watch in the projects thread as my silver bullet will be having a full make over (I hope )
Me and Paul (hydrotec) have put many a 5 back on the road after a good going over and sorting out (another one just finished this weekend). Sure lots more will leave here alot better state then when they come.
1 of mine is road legal, 1 more left.
my white one is back on the road after just doing the headgasket and iv sold my megane to pay for the respray/new engine on the blue (not for long)one!hopefully it will be done for santa pod day but who knows!!
If all goes well ill have the van back on the road on the 1st of march
Mine has always been on the road doing the family round's. After 5 years shes getting a brake now as the missus has a car .I do miss taking my daughter to nursery in it though.
I got stuck in with mine at weekend as ive lost all my motivation/interest for the civic , hasnt ran or moved out the garage since september, firstly i got it going ran spot on, then spent all weekend taking the windscreen glass out and preping the body (screen surround) for a touch of paint. I really need to sort a new clutch plate, also the box needs some attention, and if i get chance ill finaly finish my efi manifold... happy days...
Soon, very soon
Mine's not been on the road in it's 22 years
Been on the roads since begining of feb this year after a cracked liner and a few small niggly bits all seems good at the mo. Been using the 5 to go to and from work recently seems better on fuel than my zafira gsi also been playing with height of the 5 and have lowered it a fair bit on the coilovers and torsion bar fancied a different look but doesn't seem to be good on the sidey
Whilst the moneys still coming in, the 5's getting lots of new and refurbed bits and bobs
Aiming for Santa Pod
Fingers crossed
I was planning on having it on the road for the end of the month, might run over into next month abit
Nice 'technical thread' ...
Well my 21 had a complete disk, pads, suspension overhaul. Then I had to tax it to collect a nice Bumper and bonnet.
It onlt needs the heater fans working now, which I believe Roger (coalville Renault lol) is fixing.
It is a great feeling getting ya car back on the road. Although its a luxury for me as there a 3 cars for me to use before i would HAVE to take the Renault out.
Next on the list is the Clio. Im so lucky to have top mates.
i took mine out on sunday (private roads of course)
after a bit of paint, brakes, engine and mapping.
she feels great.
will be road legal on the 1st
MOT next week, so fingers crossed..
I wouldn't say I'm working hard to get it back on the road.. but I am trying.. slowly
Mines been on the road for last 3 weeks, it's cold but I'm lovin it!
mine has been off the road 4 years now and im desperate to have it ready for santa pod but i think this is going to be a big ask to get it ready so national day looks more realistic
Ive got mine out the garage now. it needs a ticket and some tax and i'm ready to go, runs spot on since i left it but will freshen up the oil and clear the carb out and stick some helathy petrol in it ready for pod
Oh and its in need of a polish
I've a set of balls here...you can come and suck them if you like
Failing that get a bank loan and you can have it
