strange fuelling problem

hey all

ive bin given the task to get my mates gt turbo running
and came across this.

when turning ignition on the pum runs presurising the system and filling the carb.
obviously its wired wron but thats fixable.

the problem is it doest stop at just filling the bowl.
it fills it up that much that a jet of fuell come out the top of the venturi just above the choke flap.

tried 2 dif carbs 1 is fully rebuilt.
changed float valve for a new 1 i had and still the same.

is this fuell presure regulator problems?

Sounds like the regulator is kaputt mate or blockage on the return line?

When the reg went on a car i was working on it filled the entire boost cct with petrol & when i revved engine with carb top off a ltr of fuel went over the hot engine, not good

t an old boost guage into the fuel into carb pipe and check its 4 psi, if its alot higher its fpr faulty!

kool thanks guys will have to change that tomorow.

as its on ebay and ends rather soon

its the red 1 with black tailgate.

has a nice engine
