    running with no thermostat

    what do people think about running a r5 with no thermostat?

    Not a good idea. Find out why your over heating and sort the problem.

    I have run a 5 with no thermostat before... had no issue's, but at the same time Renault put it there for a reason....

    Put a good one in & dont worry about it...

    I dont use one as one failed on me and cost me a top end rebuild Unlike new thermostats these feckers fail shut

    Alwaya have and will always run one, will always recomend to people to leave the thermostat in too.

    Probably not a good idea if you're travelling a lot of short journeys as the oil will struggle to get up to temperature resulting in poor lubrication.
