Not as quick as mine haha.

But seriously though - it's going to be a hoot to drive with the blower on.

I reckon it would be better with 15's and raised a bit though.

How did things go after shot blasting the bay as i know the steels rusts very quickly after this - also leaves surface rough as fook. Did bodyshop sand it back smooth or just spray loads of coats of filler primer then sand it flat?

Looking good though keep it up - i recall you wanting to sell up , glad you changed your mind

very nice. One of my friends supercharged his vtr, unsure of other modifications he made but once he'd fitted a smaller pully it ran 1bar of boost and was pushing 180bhp. It was pretty mental to be honest, lots of fun.

    Re: 2000 Citroen Saxo VTSupercharged

aint updated this in a while....

still doing this along side my Raider restoration project.

well top engine mount is on, head painted black and rockers on. also few more goodies added on

waiting on pistons and rods coming back from balancing and the hi spec 4 pots are here, but no pics yet

    ugly morettes for cooling purposes

    liquid yellow rear calipers

    carbon oil cap

got my -40mm gmc springs and billie b8s this morning after waiting a month :@. the pistons and rods arrived a while back but the lot is away for balancing and the pics of them have been lost

    anyways heres billies:

ust got a few bits back from anodising! I wanted the bits done purple, but my mate wouldnt allow me as he is using purple on his project car...so opted for gold. they came out well and the parts i done where my cam pulleys (not delievered yet), supercharger pulley, alternator pulley and bottom pulley (not pictured, as its away with pistons and rods etc to get balanced)

    heres cr4ppy pics:

and an updated pic of the block with the black alternator and oil cooler

    got jp4 rockers (off a c2 vts)

    flocked dashboard

got stuff back from powercoating again and this time new colourage PINK LOL tbh i think it looks the part!! Sent the anti roll bar off again, as the red didnt really appeal anymore and im trying to make the car as bright as possible and think i have cracked it lol...anyways here goes the bilsteins to their new home

got my pistons and rods etc back from balancing and engine is now ready to build

and then stuck my anodised pulleys on for show

other than that the car is way getting more areas shot blasted before cage gets welded in and it goes to paint :

I think it looks pretty neat white on the white wheels, maybe a rally slag looking white wheel. If Citroen had given this model a decent power hike in the first place it could have given the Clio 172 a run for it's money

Nice project bud, coming along well. What made you go for a supercharger over a turbo?

Normaly due to less torque, less boost spikes, nice continual power etc so easier on the gearbox and driveshafts, which are the weakest areas on these cars.

Thixo squished out onto the inside of the cam housing (or whatever it is). Is that ok like that?

    Re: 2000 Citroen Saxo VTSupercharged

should be ok trev, but wouldnt take long trimming it off

also markey....yes them same wheels which are MIM Raffinos, are staying on car, but going for anthracite instead....but i also have OZ Saturn Pluses which i might do the same colour! in two mind.

I have another set of MIM Raffinos which are polished too....hens teeth in 4 x 108mm and they are 16"

rs250nut - i went for a supercharger over a turbo as progressive power appealed to me more, as there was less maintainence ie. drive shaft attention and then there was general drivability of the car too...lag and then bang wouldnt have been up my street...my mates 1.8 zvh fiesta scared me a bit lol especially when dozing an Audi TT 3.2 V6 Quattro up the road! When it came on boost i was near in the back of the guy....thats how quick the fiesta was! Dont fancy the same with the saxo and the Raider wont be getting tuned which is why i dont mind it!

Shame those other MIM Raffino's are the wrong PCD, are the Saxo's 100mm or 108mm?

Well if you do decide to fit others give us a shout, i could be interested if they are correct PCD

    Re: 2000 Citroen Saxo VTSupercharged

yes markey 4 x 108mm.... but i know of oz saturn pluses in 4 x 100mm in 16" format if your interested?

and cheers gary - its should be good for 220bhp at the wheels......looking into a C2 vts inlet manifold as its alloy, larger capacity and good for bigger boost - which means i could take it up to around 280bhp +
