replacing oil pressure gauge nylon hose

Ok I have a mechanical oil pressure gauge, which has a nylon hose, with a nut on either end, however i over tightened the end and cracked the nut, i spoke to a few hydralic places but they say its to small to be repaired. SO my question is does anybody have any ideas where i could get a new hose with ends. The gauge originally came from cgb.

take a pic of the back of your gauge i can get one made that will form the back of your gauge, to the turbo oil feed, they fit in the smaller of the two oe sensors.

other that that dont know what size fitting your after, or what diamiter pipe you have.

if it will fit, as i have decribed i can suply one delivered for around £10

The gauge i have is this http://www.cgbmotorsport.net/sw-oil-...ical-578-p.asp
I already have a adapter which sits in place where the original oil pressure sender sat which means it will accept the
    1/8 NPT thread.

I will take a picture of the back of the gauge for you, to see if you could make up a hose at a reasonable cost, do you know how long roughly it will take, ill get the pic for you later on tonight.

    Much appreciated , thanks

the way mines done is it has 2 x fitting to screw on the back of the gauge, and an adapter and one that screws in the to the sandwich plate you say you have.

one extra long peice of pipe that is simple cut to lengh and push fit with some little clips for saftey , "push fit" i dont have them on mine and havnt got any oil anywhere.

right so you need 2x adaptors 2x fitting for pipe to be pushed on and 1X length of pipe.

and alittle P T F E tape for putting on the theads of connectors, to get good seal

Why not simply just replace the nut & olive?

    as where on the subject....

who has an electric type pressure gauge fitted? is there any particular digital type reccomended.? and are they not better than the manual non digi type..?

also is it ok to use an aftermarket gauge fitted to the OE pressure sender providing the OE sender is working ok.?

sounds like it should do the job, the clips to secure it wouldn't go amiss, dont worry about the ptfe tape though , got rooks of that.

As for replacing the nut and olive, , ive had no joy finding anywhere to do it.

yea but dont I need somewhere that can actually fit the nut and olive, isn't it like a crimped end , much like copper brake lines ?

Nah, it's a diy job. If you cut the hose back a touch, you'll then be able to remove the nipple/plug connector thingy. You'll also then be able to slide the old nut off. Put the new nut on the pipe, then fit the pipe onto the nipple/plug (it'll probably be v tight to fit, so try a bit of fairy liquid, or heat the pipe slightly), put the olive in the nut/cap, then screw onto gauge.
