ill call round and a pay you sometime next week blocky, cheers.
Sort you out the weekend as i get paid on Fri =]
I'll fire it over on pay day too blockster!!
Cool guys, just drop me a pm when it's sorted :-)
All done Blocky....Bring on the 12th!
Roll on this sat!!
as long as i beat brigsy is all good haha!
note to all: Bring your own THICK gloves. after my experience last time with the provided gloves your hands will almost fall off with the cold - honestly it really is painful.
Ideally OMP/Sparco race gloves are ideal.
is anyone comin for some grub and a few beers?
I'll be coming for some food mate yeh...Driving home though so beers are out the question..
Is there any more info on this..anyone meeting on route or anything?
not from me m8 but we can meet up on sat m62? me and karl off into leeds for the RTOC JINGLE BOLLOX do afterwards looks like we will be on our own +
Im up for some food.. after obviously.
No doubt brigsy will tag along too!
Where did you have in mind?
Im thinking.. Sirloin or rump steak, at least 10oz.. peppercorn sauce + extra mushroom with Chips & peas !
I should be up for some food!
Whats the crack then all? Start time etc?
Kick off is 3pm but i'll probably get there at half 2 or something for a bit of banter.
For anybody that hasnt been before , there is a bar there should you want to have a pint after.
Brigsy has set a personal challenge that he'll beat me... bah!
You keep bigging yourself up lad, i hope you can drive them carts as fast as you can talk
Its ok i'll have the unfair advantage - trusty pen knife and grooved slicks lol.
Cant wait now will be a good laugh lol.
Not looking forward to having jaffa pushing me though.. mad b*stard
WHO'S BRINGING THE REGGAE REGGAE ?
Right everyone. We need to be at teesside on the dot of 2.30pm, as they are squeezing us straight onto the track after the last group to avoid darkness !!! I've told everyone to arrive at 2.15pm to account for Jaffa's **** directions ;-) and other possible mishaps.
A convoy will be meeting up at hartshead moor services M62 eastbound at 12.45.
Postcode again is TS6 6XH
Oh, and there is 1 space thats become available too, so any takers, pm me
Blocky :-)
Assuming the deposit has already been paid for hte last place, does the replacing person pay a full £50 or just the £30 ?
See you just after 2 guys =]
Great day chaps =]
Really enjoyed the karting.
Had a good battle with Si (gringo). Fortunatley i kept my kart on the track, for the most part. Was pretty slippy though mind.
Safe to say brigsy will have to try harder to keep up with me next time.. he bought me a pint after though so its all good
Not the best picture but.. if you know where you finished you can work your times out if you didnt get chance to check out the results sheet.
What a great day, was even better the 2nd time
Well done Jessop "schumacher" you were like a greased sh!t off a shovel out there!!
Ive got a set of results marked up with names on, i'll upload them tomorrow
a top day as ever, no better way to de-stress than in a twin engined gokart ashy, yeah, that was more fun than the dry day. need to fetch some better gloves next time though.
Enjoyed Saturdays shenanigans. Good to see old faces etc My hands have been in defrost all Sunday.
I wonder if the Kph colum is top speed or average speed? Must be average, those things went faster than 40kph?
And I think Brigsy's is wrong, I guess kart 30 is one of the guys from the track who joined in later in the race.
Good point Ashy, i know i spent half the time facing the wrong way but i werent 16 laps behind
good do deffo better in the rain/damp more fun a lot more skill involved......in places.... instead of balls out speed...cheers master perv...roll on the next 1
Scoff - i even brought my own proper race gloves down but hands were still cold! I wonder if karting specific gloves are any thicker? hmm
Balaclava was a good investment though - kept my neck warm , despite my bloody overalls being wide open as the velcro nackered up after the first lap!
Will have to arrange another one i think into the first half of next year - thoroughly enjoyed it. When the evenings are a bit lighter and the weathers a bit better would be good to go for a mooch out in the cars after onto the dales for some scran and take some pictures? Im sure brigsy isnt the only one with an SLR
not sure I'd have the energy to do anything after a day karting, I had a 2.5hr drive home and was well and truely knackered when I got in
weirdly it was just the 20mins qualifying laps that I felt cold hands, the 40mins racing was no problem at all
Been to see one of our machine tool suppliers today and in there technology centre they had this little beast!!
It was awesome, both front wheels had disc brakes controled by a small hydraulic and brake mounted under the steering wheel! looked like a right weapon, just needs an engine!!
i bet that wont be a cheap investment with or without an engine lol.
Competetive karting is so expensive
I'd love a bash at it to be honest
Now THATS how you drive!!
AWESOME!!!
