I have one of each tucked away. They are not mk1 rs turbos but S1 (Series 1) and a Mk 3 Escort.

    Re: J Plate low miles?

That rs turbo is really nice, get some more pictures up, i have never owned a rs turbo, my mate had one and my brother has a rs1600i long time ago.

I bet you never drive the thing, i would be scared to.

i have never quite understood why a mint series one can sell for 10k all day long but a mint gtt probably more like 4K

Hi J they came out on B, C and D reg. A custom meant it has a sunroof & electric windows. Non customs are rarer.

You've really been looking for nearly 3 years? If you haven't found a good enough one by now I'd just give up!

Yeh three years is a long time buddy, going downhill was selling a very tidy oe white J plate 5 a few months back, think he desided to keep it in the end. Might be worth sending him a PM. check out classifieds!

Good Luck, hope you find what your looking for, maybe when you do you could bring it along to National Day 2015.

    I asked for that didn't I

When I originally put the thread up I was busy building my first house, I've sold that now and got my 2nd place in which I've just built an oak frame triple garage I have enquired about a few but they seem to sell quickly I'll keep my eyes peeled

I did PM downhill but as you mentioned he's decided to keep it, can't blame him as it's a nice motor but hopefully he'll sell in the future

Once finished with, hoping for more than that, a lot of detail has gone into that car and get the body work up to the correct standard which it should be.

I think you would be quite silly not to buy Mikes tungy for £2995 just because it is not white or a J plate. Thats like things my mrs. would say when looking for a car (no offence). If that is like the last one you sold Mike which i'm assuming it is , it is well worth the money.

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

Hold out for a J reg if that's what you really want. If you buy anything else a J plate will appear the following week guaranteed...!

I looked for ages for the same - admittedly I did have to compromise and bought a cat c with a damaged front cross member (probably paid a bit too much for it as well) but it is what I wanted and will be mint when finished and only has 71k on the clock.

    Good luck in your search
