Had my 5 setup today ready for the pod

Went to see 1320autos where tommyb works (nice one for hooking me up tommy!), got my 5 on the rollers and plumbed in abit more boost. Was quiete interesting as found out the car must have a different cam in it as the power curve didnt tail off right up untill 6500/6700. At 17psi it made just under 190bhp, on what i thought was a standard engine as far as i was aware.

all i know iv done to it is a pipercross filter, enlarged downpipe (2 1/4inch), scorpion 2inch system, put a valeo green box volvo clutch in it, custom fmic and pipework, phase 2 fuel pump and a few other bits like alloy carb lobster, thick plug leads, and a recent service, and a t2/25 turbo with a .47

I was expecting to run 18/19psi, and get around 160-180, so am really pleased its making that power at a lower boost level.

    Made 187.5bhp / 6565 rpm (104mph), and 163.1 lbft / 5291 rpm

would it not go on the rollers with the front bumper on?? i may have that trouble as mines pretty low.

Nice BHP figure although i would have thought the torque figure might have been closer to the BHP. Would it have something to do with taking the revs higher and torque fading off?? Not knocking it, it's a genuine question as on both my power runs the 1st made 180bhp and torque, the 2nd C1J made 174bhp and 176 ft/lb.

Could it be the way the carb has been fettled?
