    75 or 83 Degree Thermostat

    Dan, the priority is to have a good condition, fully working coolant system. Give it all a good flush out before summer and renew any components you're concerned about. The OE colling system is good enough so long as its well maintained, but there's nothing wrong with running a lower temp 'stat in summer if you're concerned.

    My cup car is running an 86 degree thermostat, nothing wrong with that, i have flushed the rad and refilled using decent cooland for this years track and road action...

    I also have 86 and works great in summer and under heavy driving. When i had old radiator even 73 one didn't manage to keep temps low. Everything is in good shape radiator and free flowing hoses.
