    After market water gauge

im wanting to fit a aftermarket water temp gauge but use the existing sender.

as far im aware the original gauge runs from the connection on the water pump, looking at that sensor 2 wires come from it, having tested both with a voltmeter, both show 12 volts with the ignition on.

the gauges bundled sendor has 2 connections but 1 of which is ground, the other goes to "signal"

where do i connect the signal wire to? will eiather of the connections on the water pump sensor work?

if not where should i connect to or do i NEED to use the included sender?
