    oil pressure

Can someone set me straight on oil pressure. Am i worrying over nothing or do i have a problem. I have just rebuild the engine with a reground crank and shells. As well as a oil pump refurb kit.

Im seeing around 20-25 psi on hot idle oil temp 80degrees (800ish rpm)

but at 3000rpm im seeing around 40psi. Is this enough I was expecting more. I have a mechanical gauge plumbed into the turbo feed line.

    cheers

That will be fine. The coupe manual states 45psi at 3k rpm. To be fair every c1j ive owned has just over 40 at 3k, never had any problems.

That sounds about normal for thinner oil, 10w40 and the like. If your measuring from after the 1 way valve in the feed line then that'll drop a few psi too. I once tried measuring before and after that valve, it made a difference, to the point where I ran without the 1 way valve in the end.

I cant remember which way round I plumbed the guage in now, before or after the one way valve. I suspect it was after.

Is that a recommendation do do away with the one way valve!!??
