Yeah they fit a 5, i have a set of compomotive split rims and the fit on my 5 and my sunny, the centre bore is very tight on the 5 but as long as there's not too much corrosion on them, the offset is about right but i haven't measured, they also fit on mk2 golfs.

Measured from the back face of the wheel were it mates to disc, to inner rim edge 2-3mm difference.
Weight them 15kg with new good tyres.
Turbines weight 14kg with crap old tyres.

They'll be 4x100 pcd and the offset will fit the 5 without a problem, well they should do anyway, it'll be printed on the back of the wheel.
