Manchester Classic Car Show

Visited the Manchester Classic Car show at the weekend which is held at Event City next to the Trafford Centre.

A decent event with some nice cars of various eras, a good mix of vintage, American and more recent stuff. Lots of 205gti's, escorts, coswoths but disappointing not to see a single Renault.

If anyone has a tidy 5 gt turbo they should consider displaying next year; I'm sure it would get plenty of attention.

I may even put mine in although it would need a bit of work doing to bring it up to scratch.

Does the club ever display at any similar events?

Hi Turbox. Yes we have similar events, mainly organised by the club members for smaller shows. Rtoc attended and supported retro show this year and French car show. We had a huge turnout!

Get some pics put up and when the time comes, stick this event in the events section.

I really wanted to take mine to that,

I work in the motor trade so Septembers are a bad time for having weekends off, i am on the wirral so any localish meets give me a shout, if i can get it off i am up for it.

JKMT yes, you should seriously consider getting your car in next year...

I secretly love the 205 gti's but as one of our greatest hot hatch rivals it bugged me to see so many and no 5 gtt's. Felt like they had the upper hand.
