Cylinder Block Coolant Drain Plug - Thread Type?

I've misplaced my drain plug and can't remember the thread type. I think it's 1/8" NPT?

It appears to be some crazy metric thread. M10x0.9mm

I would have thought it would need to be tapered as the plug doesn't have a shoulder to torque against?
