    History of a car.

I'm wanting to trace the history/owners/ dealer who sold it of my car but not to sure how to go about it,I've been on DVSA website and got the mot history for the last ten years which is interesting but I would like to dig a little deeper.

Has anyone on here done this?,I was thinking of going to my local dealer to ask if they could access any records but dealing with the unhelpful staff puts me off if I'm honest.

I very rarely post on here due to attitudes on car forums but i would appreciate any advise.

You need to fill out form v888 and pay £5. Merley state you are an enthusiast rather than a stalker and you will recieve a list of previous owners and more interestinly a copy of all previous V5 docs. This works better when your car has high number owners, or in the case of my R5 Gordini, 35 yrs old, lots of information in return..........
