Hi all,

I am new to the 5 scene and have recently rediscovered my love for these little cars. Back in the 90's-early 2000's my friends had 5 GTT's but I always had vauxhalls or peugeots. A few months ago I decided I wanted to get back in touch with this part of my life, so I decided to invest in a car I didn't ever have, the 5 GT turbo, and started looking.

I ended up with a standard looking silver phase 1, that had few engine modifications (to be modest about it), and am enjoying her very much! As one quickly becomes two, in a very short time I found a phase 2 that needed paint and body so I acquired that also as an ongoing project. This car was known to my friends and was a local car to me in terms of its registered area, so is quite desirable in a personal way.

Thanks, she is a fantastic ph1. How do you know this car? I don't know a great deal about it, only back about the last 5 years or so.

I remember this car as it made me realise how much I prefer the look of phase 1's... I would love to own one. In fact there is a silver one hiding only 200m from my house that I never knew existed. However the owner wasn't keen on selling it to me when I was looking for a new 5.

Anyways, agreed 👍.... Looks miles better now on o.e wheels. More pics are definitely required
