    Speedo cable sensor location

I am having issues getting the speedo to work on the ol 5. It has the b18ft engine but GT box so is the same. I've tried couple different sensors, removed plug and soldered connections and tried three sets of clocks. I don't think sensor is in right.
Anyone got any ideas or pictures to check?

    Thanks

Rob, It should push in as far the o ring to seal then it has a retaining bracket that bolts to the gearbox. Make sure the end is clean.

Cheers mat chew I don't have an o ring on so ill put one on. Does it matter which way it slots in? Does it look like it should go on further as it was pretty tight.

Looks like the casing has broke off around the hole? I'll have a look at my sensor in a bit to see where the o ring sits.

Well it turned out to be the sensor i think (also fiddled with the wiring in engine bay), i swapped for another one and it went into the gearbox much easier and further in. Working OK now.
