    Very high afrs on boost

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

Hi bit of newbie in the 5 turbo world and Iam after some help
And advice ,I've got a 5turbo in a clio that's not fueling on boost
It's makeing standard boost pressure around 8psi but has afrs
Readings of around 14.7 on boost "which is not good 🙈" it ticks over lovely afs around 14.7
Blipping the throttle when stationary drops around 12.2 it's just soon as it sees boost it leans
Right off .all vac pipes have been checked Obviously it's looking like a carb issue I think I just need to under Stand how the carb works and from there hopeful I can find my problem
Is it worth having the carb serviced 1st

Any help would be much appreciated
    Thanks
    Dan

Definitely get a service kit fitted. Clean everything well and reassemble.

Are you running the Renault 5 turbos fuel pressure regulator?

Thats very lean, especially at only 8 psi. I would try re-setting the AFR gauge and see if it makes a difference. If not I would whip the carb off and give it a check over and a clean.

I would say strip the carb top down, obtain a rebuild kit and thoroughly clean the carb internals, and see if it makes a difference.

Do you have access to anyone local with a carb you could borrow. You got any pic's of your bay so we can see that you have vacuum lines plumbed up correctly?
