    RTOC Files

I have noted over the years peeps have kept some memories from tuning companies , related to the Renault 5 gtt turbo, like prima racing, ktec, bbpt, gttuning, fivesrus, etc... magazines, brochures pictures small vids of dyno day's even articles from fast car magazine, max power, even sections from UK coupe car guides would be great etc... Would be nice if we could get peeps to just to scan copies of these for the forum and we have a section for these to be accessed with ease by others always good to read things from the past

So if anyone hsa anything and doesn't mind please scan it or take pic's and attach it to this thread

    Re: RTOC Files

Once copied over to XF there is a job for someone to go through the entire files section and make articles/threads of the different bits and bobs that are stored there.

One thread/article for all official Renault stuff, one for each tuner (or group it), one for each Mag (or group them), etc.

Nice one James. Probably worth waiting until we're on the new site and then picking this up when things are settled

    Re: RTOC Files

I expect you'll find that most of the members folders are full of nondescript photos that will never be looked at or be of any use to anyone.

Some may be linked to posts in old threads. Which may also never be looked at. So a lot of it could be safely deleted.

There might be some nice scans of magazine reviews, etc, that could be taken out of the members folder and grouped in a RTOC area so everyone can see them instead of buried in place no-one will ever go.

In the articles section we have an area for reviews, but it's thread style, which a bit crap for this application. It would better be a folder of titles that open the items, just like in is now in the files section. Some might be pdf files, they probably won't shown in the thread and will open on the users PC if they have pdf software.

A better presentation for the titles would be ideal.

    Re: RTOC Files

Aye. There's nothing worse than doing a search and finding a thread with pics/links that no longer exist/display. Unless there is a real requirement to go through and delete files from a server space perspective I think it would be best to leave them in.

Certainly when creating the articles, any pics should probably be copied rather than moved so that if they are linked in old threads, then those old threads don't suffer.
