Far too expensive. It's got a cracked front bumper, rusty tailgate, dirty engine bay, and he hardly did a good job in cleaning it for photos for the advert, which doesn't say much about the owner. Mine when I bought it was in similar condition, and just as original, yet it only cost me £1300.
It would be alright if the price was more like, say.. £1500.
Oh yeh.. and it's got 107000 miles.

yeah it ent worth that much but still nice2 c a few totaly original 1`s floatin about. he may hav got the price from 5th gear the other night and thought he`d give it a shot.
i sold my last 5 that was stored for 7 years standard,really clean to a guy from ireland for 2750 on pistonheads,he was a top bloke and assured me it was going to stay original,,i also recomended the club to him so it may show up again here soon,
as for the 5 in question,id say 1800-2k may be a fair price,but it looks in desperate need of a clean

There was a thread on the old site about how many GTT`s were left. IIRC, there were around 2000 ph2`s and around 600 ph1`s
(Thats currently road legal, not including sorn etc etc)

slightly off topic, but I personally would like to see the price of fives go up, why do we value our car so low when fairly nice Ford escort rs etc are selling at 4000 upwards?

Ford RS's have moved on from the Chav scene... there are alot of mint RS's floating about and Ford have supported the scene by still making many new parts at a normal cost.
Where as Renault 5's still have a chav image... look on Ebay or piston heads at the poor spelling, sh*t fitted body kits, dent etc in a car.
A decent standard 5 would go for £2500+ and minter would go for £4k and a rare specail 5 could go for alot more...
just before i got my 5, a friend of the family got one, i went to check it out, it had 60thou on the clock, full histroy, completley standard with a rtoc sticker on it as he joined the club, he took me out in it, i was hooked and bought 1 a few months later, he sold his for around 4,000, have got pics of it, all panels where perfect, was mint!
