URGENT - potential oil leak, okay to drive?

Hey guys, about to head out for a drive and there seems to be a coating of oil this side of the engine (the rest of the engine is bone dry). Is this normal? Think the seal on the dipstick isn't all that, so could oil be working its way up the shaft and leaking into the engine bay? There's still plenty of oil in the engine according to the dipstick. A lot of wiring etc around that part all has a film of oil on it (not fuel as would smell that). Is the car okay to drive?

Just double check your filters tight and your cooler pipes I made the mistake of not tightening them up and oil pissed everywhere..

Two items of issue there for starters oil filter and oil pressure sender. Check there both tight, get some rag and wipe items down. Run engine back up and recheck to see if oil reappears around them.

Soz for the late reply, phone had no signal. Soz the picture wasn't overly helpful either. Oil was all around above the alternator and the head, and around the dipstick.

I have to do an hour's journey into London later, will driving it f#@k the engine?

Cheers for the prompt advice, guys.
