Does anyone run with this on, it bolts onto the subframe and covers the bottom of the engine.

Dont think many of these are left on the cars these days, suppose air flow under car is helped without it on, my clio 172 has one
I don't think the gtt came with these fitted. I had a campus and that did have one.
Renault still have then so I was thinking of getting one, just looking some thoughts on it. Cheers
I'm sure the GTT never came from the factory with these. Maybe they added them to later base models as Mark says. Do you have pics?
Jonny will want a chromed one

It really makes no difference.
Ok, cheers
from what i can remember of the campus one it boted to the subframe and was square shaped with a bulge for the exhaust.
Oil catcher would be a better way of looking at it
Well it would with how mine has been behaving recently.......
For someone wanting a bit of protection find yourself a Dacia one, it's a steel plate which fitted the 9's subframe perfectly. Has spared me a few sumps that's for sure!
I made one for mine before out of some 2mm steel just put a slight bend on it where subframe comes up drilled holes and bolted in on..
This is the Dacia guard:
Although it didn't survive long at this height:
This may be of interest.
Good thread this. Both those things look worthwhile Hoolio. Is that thing for the back a fuel tank protector?
I guess so, but I've not seem a GTT with either of those two front tray's or the rear one, they must be for other models of the 5. There must be a reason why the GTT was not fitted with an under tray, I would hazard a guess that it helps to keep temps down, not something that would be as big a problem on other models?????
I have ordered a front one.
Which one? Part 1, or part 2 (see diagram)?
Part one, should have it this week.
Good stuff. Make sure to take pics
How much was it btw? And just wondering but does it not need part no.2? That part seems to cover a bigger area??
The part number will not go in the system using C405, which implies non gt turbo models.
I think there's probably an assumption here Mike that the sump/subframes will be similar enough for this to fit. Either directly or with a bit of shove.
Yes they will fit just need the securing clicks and course threaded screws.
Are you able to give us some insight on the part 1, part 2 thing from the diagram above Mike? Can you fit one without the other? Are they metal or plastic? Does one cover areas the other doesn't? Etc.
I don't think this is a sump guard as such.
It's a plastic panel, just like the one that protects the alternator etc.
It slots in the side of the subframe drivers side wheel arch and covers up the gap where you can see the pulley wheel.
I have just spotted the image. I am talking about item 5 so ignore me.
Just seen this
These where fitted to the Turbo diesel 5
Models only from factory. But as you know will fit all sub frames which have the hole for the speed clips to go in.
Oddly enough, there some alloy ones just gone up on eBay.
So what the heck is Part #2?!
Hold on, you're not gonna pay for it?
Maybe pick up or collect lol
Yea unfortunately Renault haven't become a charity. I think they have doubled the price of everything to pay for that dog of an F1 engine.
How much out of interest mate?
Photo of new splash guard, looks good when on. Not telling you the price, I don't want you taking the piss. But to me well worth it.
Got from renault
Here it is fitted.
looks good.
Yea, not a great photo but really pleased with it.
