I don't have one handy m8 but if you have a Haynes manual I think there are some exploded pictures that would help.

Thanks, I have a manual but the pictures are not that good, they don't seem to show the route of the pipes or what they connect up to, will look again

    Re: engine bay hoses/pipes

[IMG][/IMG]ive finally got the engine in, here are some pics of the pipes/connections that need pairing
    [IMG][/IMG]
from what i have seen A goes to D, B goes to the actuator, what about C?
    [IMG][/IMG]
pic above, this pipe is from the aftermarket boost gauge also the other connections on the carb

any help is very much appreciated, thanks

    Re: engine bay hoses/pipes

A or B is where you usually and mostly used to link your boost gauge to and to the front port of the actuator is standard one is in use.

C is fuel overflow outlet and should just have a pipe running over down in front of the gearbox
    or behind it.

D can be loop'd to A or blocked off.

    Re: engine bay hoses/pipes

Doh, and last picutre as said above for boost gauge can be linked to D and will give you minus vacuum reading aswell as boost pressure from carb base.

    Re: engine bay hoses/pipes

sorry here are a couple more pics, the first is a selction of pipes all coming from the back left of the engine bay (standing in front of car) the original pipe has had a couple of 't' pieces added, if you can suggest where they go.

the second pic is of a pipe, again any help is gratefully received

    Re: engine bay hoses/pipes

    Right, here goes.

F should have a water pipe to it.

    A and D go together.

E is where the fuel pipe goes.

B where the o.e. Dash boost gauge pipe goes.

Oh, and last picture you don't really need any of that, but it bolts to the turbo elbow and has one way valve in the end, that's what at the end of it. Just put a short bolt in the turbo elbow and bin the rest.

Second one should go on the top of your oil breather pot.

Third one should be connected to your "telephone" induction hose! Or you could put a mini breather filter on it.

Just to add, I can see in the last picture your missing another oil breather pipe that comes off the rocker cover.

    Re: engine bay hoses/pipes

So the first one is right?
I will add a breather to the pipe as I will be fitting a k&n enclosed kit, as for the rocker, I have a pipe for that, I guess that will go to the oil breather pot too?
