Fast Lane Motor Show Sunday 11th May

There is an event I would like to mention to you all Fast Lane Show.

It's free entry, has a free to enter Concours competition, plus plenty of really expensive machines! We could ask for a club stand?

The event takes place on Sunday 11th May:

Tynedale Rugby Football Club Limited,
Tynedale Park,
Corbridge,
Northumberland.
NE45 5AY.

Cars are allowed entry to the show area between 8 - 9:30am, and all cars must be parked up & in place by 10am. Concours judging starts at 10:30am.

If there's enough interest camping on the Saturday night could be an option or there is plenty of local B&B's.

Well, the spilt was acrimonious but the number of opportunities to do this kind of thing are reducing as time goes on. Keep at it mate. Hopefully the five remaining on the list are solid.

To be fair it's also early in the year and most of our cars are almost ready and no one wants to commit yet it's a shame really but as Trevor says nothing to worry about

5 in total George. That was my minimum to even bother with stand. The rest are still on planning a look up. Think puns hon is up for it too.

Just to confirm, in case there is any doubt, I wasn't the cause of this cancellation!
At the time that this appeared "in the other place", there were just 3 RTOC people
down for this, including me. The upshot of that being that RTOC were apparently not
going to make the 5 minimum that Matt was seeking. That would have ruled me out.

The only reason I put my name down was because I'll be within reach of the venue at
that time _and_ that I'm often dismayed by attending several other shows where my
car is the sole Renault in the park. So, when faced with the decision, it became pretty
clear what I had to do to attend.

Just to be clear. if there had been sufficient numbers going from RTOC, I would have
joined you - I made it clear that my commitment was to where I had placed my name
first, otherwise I would have asked to have my name removed.

I know what it takes to organise stuff for an event, especially humans(!) so I was
never going to mess Matt around. So Trevor, I don't appreciate your mischief making.
How often I visit here has absolutely no bearing on commitments I make!

Needless to say, I am disappointed that I was forced into that position. I'm first a fully
fledged Renault enthusiast. Driving them for the best part of 45 years or more, and
losing count of how many I've owned, probably qualifies me as that

There was no mischief making.

As far as I knew (from what I could read here), as at 3rd April there was list of seven cars attending, including yourself. In trying to assist Matt with confirmations I noticed that you hadn't been on RTOC since the 19th and said in that case someone needed to contact you directly.

I have to apologise if once you'd realised you were not going to be attending, you got in touch with Matt in good time to make him aware of that fact. The same goes for everyone else on the list.
