    New Purchase

I bought this at the weekend as I needed something with 4 seats....

I knew they were pretty fast but this thing is immense. The power band from 5000rpm to 8000rpm is ridiculous. I am pretty happy with it. Although my 5 is still the apple of my eye

Love these engines! Very tuneable and work very well with a turbo.

    Re: New Purchase

First thing would be to get your ecu modified or buy a second hand one that's already been done.

Look up "Hondata Kpro", best mod that added decent amount of power midrange even when just running with a pre programmed free map on a 100% standard car.

Then usually people get mods and go in this order, induction kit, if money will stretch, "Gruppe M" induction kit, it is the nuts, sounds crazy, look that up on YouTube.

Followed by a Cat back exhaust system, then add a decent exhaust manifold with or without a cat (piper jobbie are decent for the money, or any second hand DC Sports that always pop up second hand.).

Next, not sure if these fit in the FN2 which you've got, but a "RBC inlet manifold", get it all tuned in and your have around 240/250bhp N/A power.

If your really power hungry, Turbo kit fair amount of money, but standard block will and has been proven to cope with 500bhp, with uprated clutch. Its not advised, but can and has been done. Recommend safe power level wise on standard trim with any worries is usually around the 360bhp without any internal work etc, just usual clutch, injectors and turbo kit.

There's loads more, just some thing to think about, haha. I've had four Type R's, had all the mods. Ideally, stick with the bolts on's, buy second hand parts, then sell for same money when done with it if pick carefully.

But out of all the things I've ever brought for cars, the ecu and induction kit on my old Type R's has been the best mod for money etc out of anything I've ever brought for any car I've ever own etc.

For got to add, supercharger very good mod on these, 290/310bhp for basic bolt on kit.

Pure power from the start to the red line and sound crazy.

Can even use standard clutch, all ya need is the supercharger, injectors, exhaust manifold, cat back exhaust and the Kpro ecu, job done. YouTube "Jackson racing super charger type R". Oh, and there a rip off copy of the gruppe M that's actually decent, look up "Tegiwa Imports".

My mate had the limited edition championship edition, the white one when it first come out. Use to love hearing it in the high rpm range with the exhaust. Good car and very comfy
