    AEM afr lamba postion

Just got a AEM wideband off efi parts. im using a ktec enlarged elbow and a 2 1/2 downpipe. Iv read the article on here about lamba postion and im bit confused as to where to put the boss. the article states Normally it should live at least 6" from the turbo outlet, so part way down the downpipe in an R5 GTT is fine.
now further down it says something about heated sensors. and moving them further away? are AEM sensors heated? need to be sure before I start cutting and welding??

    Re: AEM afr lamba postion

I have mine just before the bend in the downpipe, at a slight angle to prevent moisture sitting on the sensor from what I read. My down pipe is a one piece 2 1/2 bms one. Before when I mounted it in the standard downpipe it was in pretty much the same place.

I have seen them before now mounted in the front section of the exhaust and I know when my cars been on the rollers the sensor is mounted on the exhaust tail pipe. So as long as it's not to close to the turbo it will be fine

There is a picture in my albums on my profile of where mine is mounted
