    B16/18 Honda Engines

As I'm now living in Australia and everything (and I mean everything) is hugely expensive, I would like to get a rough idea on what it would cost to put together a 500hp B16/18A engine (in UK).

I would do all the assembly myself, so I'm talking about components and machining only.

    All advice appreciated.

500hp from a b16/18 is not that difficult, only thing being is you would need is the block to be sleeved which costs around $1300usd plus shipping, With the pistons, rods, machine work, new oil pump, gaskets, and a sleeved block your then around $3000-$5000 depending on what parts you choose to fit, stock head and b18c4 cams are more than good enough for 500+whp, exhaust manifold could cost anywhere from $300 for a cast log type manifold to $1500 for a proper sch10 made tubular manifold from full race or you could make it yourself? This is what I intend to do with the next evolution of my build. I reckon a ballpark figure of around £5000 would get you somewhere where you need to be.

Thanks for the info, I'll start looking a little deeper into this.
