    My white 1990 Gtt, Journey

Thought I would share a some pictures of my 1990 Gtt. I brought the car about 3 years ago, after having a mad idea that I wanted to own another one (the last one I owned was 16 years ago). The car has gone through a lot of changes, turbos, wheels and engines. Currently the car is off the road as I have started to do an F7P turbo conversion.

When I 1st got the car

As usual you feel the need to "swap a few bits" and make things a bit tidier ;-)

New wheels, bumper filled and carbon bonnet

Decided it was time to learn a bit more. Remove the engine, strip it down, paint the engine bay. Also fit 270 cam and have some head work done

EEk!! Got a bit worried as Ive never stripped an engine before

Engine bay given a freshen up

Engine put back together and painted and fitted

Shortly after another engine came up for sale (James Sargents C1J) and I brough a raider with a blown engine

Freshened up the Raiders bay and fitted my old engine

Gave the Raider a full flat and polish

Sold the Raider :-) Back to my car.....
Engine back in, was all good for a while until I melted a few pistons racing a Scooby

Engine back out, sourced some low comp pistons and gave the T28 a paint.

Sold the T28 and bought a VNT, new air filter and grill front mount

The VNT destroyed the clutch so a new 5 paddle was sourced and fitted

Sold the Prima willy wheels as these came up. They were gold so had them repainted

Also fitted some Wilwood 4 pots

    New bumper fitted

Fitted a few dials and an HKS EVC

That was all a while ago now,

Matt - I normally use 1500 w+D (By hand) then 3m fast cut compound with a buffer. After that I go over with a polishing glaze (3m) and a soft polishing mop. Goes without saying you have to be careful with edges etc .

Wow, lots of stuff done! Car is looking great. I love Willy Wheels, but equally love the Speedline 676 type design. They just work on a 5.

The new colour looks great. Top quality finish too. Is it high temp paint?
