Save the pound. Signed for is the biggest pile of 5hite ever. It's not tracked, insured, or treated any differently to any other item of "normal" mail. You even find that some items that are sent as recorded delivery, aren't recorded delivery by the time they arrive at the destination, ie; the stickers "fall off".Originally Posted by Schakal

So do most people, it's a very common mis-conception. If you're sending something through Royal Mail that's valuable, or something that you want to know has got there, then send it special delivery. They're kept separate from everything else, signed for by everyone who handles them, they're "trackable" at every stage of the journey, and they're insured, as well as being guaranteed to be delivered the next day.fair play ,i always thought signed for was a safer option
