    Latest new car... a Hyundai.

Picked up my new Hyundai i20 active today, first impressions seems very good for a cheap small car.

Insurance is a third of what my 172 (with more mileage & Charlotte as a named driver), road tax is just £20 a year, 5 year unlimited mileage warranty, cheap finance, good mpg, nice spec car... couldnt really say no to the deal my friend offered me.

For anybody looking for a new cheap car, I would really recommend the Hyundai range, certainly not what you would expect from a cheap car.

Havent done any mileage in it yet (10miles), but interior is nice, good feeling leather steering wheel, some nice chrome finish on the interior handles (feels like a good quailty metal rather than plastic), doors shut nicely and have a heavy feel to them, interior feels just like your typical mid spec Renault, Ford, Vauxhall etc... Seats are abit basic... but do the job.

    Electric windows all round
    Electric mirrors & electric folding

All new hyundai's have air con as standard

Oh also forgot comes with 5 years RAC cover aswell

Nope, it ticks the right boxes for work etc, hence why I brought In the 1st place

Will most likely be selling the 172, and doing something to get rid of the 5...

We recently had an i30 as a curtesy car. Quite frankly I'd rather walk! That said I don't know how much they are brand new? It just felt really cheap and tinny to me.....

Well a fiesta to the same spec would be £13,490.00, Clio £13580 where as the Hyundai was under £10k... so a fair bit cheaper..

my dads got an i30 few weeks ago and i was quite suprised how nice it is! i was expecting if to be flimsey and plasticy, but feels and looks pretty well built and pretty well specced, he paid 10k for a 1 month old ex demo

I suppose compared to an R5 they're pretty well built but compared to my 2001 VW they felt tinny and liable to fall apart - just my opinion mind.

I guess for the price they're not all that bad

That's surprising, I like the newer Passat as well. I hear they have issues with injectors though?
