    Re: pushrod/s

thank you for the reply's. No other damage.... engine was running ok, just sounded awful and rattling. I knew what it was instantly (happened twice before )

Flat shifting on the 7k rpm limiter obviously has its consequences

Sid - they look interesting, but how much is added onto the pushrod diameter with these sleeve's??
Currently looks tight between the pushrod and head as it is. And is that price for a full set of 8?

    Re: pushrod/s

That sounds like a good deal. But I will have to look closely at how much clearance there is in there and get back to you or perhaps buy another set and send them down as I would like to be mobile again asap.
I must have a reground cam as I had to move the securing nut to the underside of the rocker arm to adjust the tappets correctly

Nice one sid. I have seen the rockers, nice work

Unfortunately I have another project on the go just now (a house) so my pocket money has taken a nose dive and luxury purchases are out of bounds

    Re: pushrod/s

here's a picture of uprated pushrod beside a standard one i used from another type of engine they where longer and cut down to suit reprofiled cam, you will need to make the holes bigger in the head as the pushrods will hit.good idea with the sleeves sid very clever
