    looks good

what diamater are they? 2 1/2 inch?? if so I could be tempted, but a T28 flange would be required

would a bulk order have any impact on reducing the overall cost??

... i would of thought if you put a price tag of £170 plus postage etc youd get many more sales, still im sure theyre worth it and im not knocking the product in any way but id want to see the product in real detail for the £250 inc price tag.

    Re: one peice downpipes

Be nice to see them under £200.. The quality of the bms downpipe was amazing and the original price was £140 delivered I think for my first, then I got one of the second batch at the same price. The batches later were around the £180 mark with the group buys and selling for more to non club members. Then big jims were £150 but less pretty hence they sold but not in waves like the bms.. Then cgb got him to make him some selling for £200..

For £200 I'd need it looking as epic as the bms, with a lower price it would roll a batch of 10 easily as then 10 excess would sell on eBay for more..

Remember us club members are tight cnuts, we had koni group buys kicking about a year ago with some hints of prices around £400.. No interest.. Then joe blogs phones them up and scores a price of £280 10 members + are chucking money at them.

These are something them members want but they don't just open there wallets, you have to tickle there balls first.

    Re: one peice downpipes

i'm sorry that everyone feels they are rather expensive but it was 5 years or so ago when boris and big jim started making them but the price of materials have increased some what since. If i could get the materials cheaper i could by all means make the pipe cheaper. As for the moment £200 for 5 or more would be as low as i could go and £225 for singles.

p.s if any has anyone contacts for materials that may be cheaper than where i get mine i can make enquiries. Which will only make the pipe cheaper.

Borris made them in own time too. Material prices may well differ these days though? From then to now although irrelevant copper price is at least triple

i do shop around for cheaper prices but the flanges i have laser cut and dont buy them of the shelf and get the tight mandrel bends from a supplier and the large swept bend bent out of a lengthof pipe so please dont think that im not trying to cut out the midlemen.

It would be nice to actualy have yours side by side with the bms/boris ones. Both look nice, another one cropped up a while back as a group by not by boris and I really didn't like it. ( no offence to the maker)

yes the lambda boss can be placed any where you require just its hidden out of sight where there is plenty of room. Also i read that afr sensors operate best 30cm from the turbo. correct me if i'm wrong just what i read.

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

It's nice to see people are still intrested in the one-peice downpipe I created a year or so ago, at the time it was enjoyable making them.
On the last batch I made the prices of the laser cut flanges had increased, and the d/p price reflected that, the cheapest I could make them now would be around 160/170.
That's taking into account the laser cut flanges, mandrell bent pipe, lambda b+b, p+p, time taken to make ect.. Unfortunatly I can't sell them for any cheaper.

Anyways, it seems https://www.rtoc.org/boards/member.php?u=765 is ready to make a few using the jig from the 'msm' day's, sound's intresting as the one I saw looked nice. Im not in a rush to make any more so see what Jim is saying. (including pics/price?) If there any good im sure it will sort out the few people wanting a downpipe upgrade.
And is Scott K making some more 3" downipes?

Guys I can tell you stainless steel had gone up on price recently, I was at piper the other day and they said there having to up there prices, they had sourced a cheaper supplier for the same quality grade steel.. But that steel rippled as it was a fraction thinner...

    £200 for a group buy ain't a bad price...

I can't really see the issue with the price to be fair, if the quality is good then why not pay the guy for his skills

After all if it was that easy then we would all be knocking up our own versions, half the reason the other guys stopped bothering making them was because it wasn't really worth their time and effort

imo we should be willing to make it worthwhile for someone to make these rather than trying to knock down the price
