    afrs again

Still a bit confused with the whole afr thing. When the boost gauge goes from negative to positive boost the afrs drop to 10s,is this when a smaller 1st stage would help?then it goes overly lean high 13s untill wot foot flat to floor, then they drop to 11.9.I no @ wot this afr should be ok its the bit in-between I'm not sure about.

Iv just read back what I first put and to be honest it does sound a bit gay,so to answer my own question. The rich afrs could be down to the acc jet doing its thing if not change 1st stage and check afrs, high 13s as boost increases are ok its wot that need to be right and as yours are 11.9 that's fine. Easy.lol

Nothing wrong with high 13s at part throttle casper, that's very nice for the solex !

That blip to 10's could be the pump jet over active or the 1st stage too large as you say. Remember though, dropping the size of the 1st stage might lean off WOT too since 1st stage stays open even once 2nd stage is active. So a drop in 1st stage might mean you need to go up a bit on 2nd.

So if I lower the boost will that effect afrs from spool up to full boost @wot.

Mate mine is high 13s before the blower spools up. 2nd stage is the enrichment for when the blower comes in. Your fueling is bang on dude.

    Re: afrs again

Had a play today and my actuator will only hold 16psi manifold anymore and I get big spikes or something, still plenty of fuel to play with 12s part throttle and 11@wot.So am going to have to bleed a bit off get another actuator,18-20psi should be spot on.I'm leaving it alone for now though.

    Re: afrs again

mine spiked alittle when bleeding for extra boost, winding the actuator tighter helped keep the spike down.

I think its a spike Tony. There's not much adjustment left on the rod but any more preload and the boost goes from 16psi to silly boost?

try bleeding a little rather than adjusting the rod.

    Re: afrs again

Yeah will do at some point, just going to leave it for now.I'm assuming that the actuator is not as strong as I thought,14psi stamped on it must be maximum.?
