    Air correction jet

    Hi,

There's a problem with buying air corrector jet for Solex carbs in Poland so I'm looking for some substitue from some other carb.

Main jets from Mikuni (motorcycle mainly) carbs fits Solex carbs, what about air correction jets?

What about trying to adapt power jet from Mikuni? I don't know exact dimmensions of this jet but it looks nearly the same as a/c jet for Solex

K-Tec takes 30 quid for shipment to Poland [sic!]

I'll try K-Tec (with shipment from my friend in UK probalby ) but I need this jet ASAP.

    Re: Air correction jet

The 32DIS air corrector and enrichment jets are the same dimensions and inter changeable.

If the main venturi is bored out then it's normal to fit the 1.0mm enrichment jet in the air corrector. Or solder it and re-drill it to 0.9mm.

    Re: Air correction jet

I possess the remains of Mike48's old carb tuning bits. There might be as jet in there but I doubt it a they are the consumable parts.

What size did you want? I'll have a look tomorrow.

    Re: Air correction jet

I need to try 1mm and 0.9 a/c jet, so I think that 0.9 would be ok as I can redrill it for 1mm when it would be too rich on 0.9.

    Thanks for help

Are you missing a jet, or just trying to find a given size? If the latter, it's probably gonna be easier to solder/re-drill the jets you've already got.

    Re: Air correction jet

I've only one standard jet (1.2) and would like to have another one before eventually destroying this one

If I would not get this jet in next two weeks I would start trying solder/redrill option.

    Re: Air correction jet

Do you have a standard 25mm main venturi or a bored out one?

Normally you would not use a 1.4 main jet and a 0.9 air corrector in a standard carb.

Shame the lengthy 32DIS article is not here.

You should have a 1.0mm jet in you enrichment circuit.

Simply swap them, if you have a bored carb.
