    Rear suspension

Working on an old punto yesterday i noticed it had independant rear suspension with an arb, rear discs and a spring and damper setup looks like a cheap way forward perhaps?

    Re: Rear suspension

With a quick search it seems the more modern punto has a solid rear beam, but im not sure if its all models. The independant suspension was on an old mk1 punto.

    Re: Rear suspension

Tony, what model Punto was it from?

The standard rear track of a GTT is: 1311mm

The Mk1 Punto GT had a track of: 1360mm (so an inch wider each side)

The base model Puntos had a track of 1350mm, which would lead me to think that they are the same and the extra track comes from the wider wheels?

Just for interest here's a few other rear track dimensions:

    Clio Valver: 1324mm
    Clio Williams: 1351mm
    RS Clio 172/182: 1408mm
    RS Clio 197/200: 1520mm
