    Hi - im back..

    New poster! (less than 10 posts)

    Hello everybody!
    I'm Sonny, i am from Denmark, i was on this magnificent forum about 5 years ago! I have gotten a new R5.. so i'm back...

    A GTE Le-mans (Raider), not a gt-turbo though, but hope i'm still welcome here..



    As you can see it is a bit of a project.. ) its soon ready for paint..
    Im going to paint it i nice yellow..
    No don't worry, would be a shame to change the color of a Raider..

    I have a 1,8 clio RSI engine standing, waiting to get in. (highest possible bhp to be road legal in Denmark)

    I am by the way one of the two leaders of the Danish Renault Club "Renault Klubben"

    So a lot of cars can not be sold in Denmark then

    yes they can, but you can't add over 20% hp to a car..ie i cant put a valver lump in it.. because it has 95 hp + 20% = 107 hp.. RSI engine is max.. would have loved a valver or willie lump in it..

    oh I take it you register the engine and they know the bhp of these engines then against the car.

    Spot on, you can increase it more, BUT requires a "certificate" From Renault Denmark that it is equivalent to a GTT, to increase 20% from that engine.. Bureaucracy.. + an extra tax to get it registered..
    In denmark we pay 180% of the price of the car to the government...

    The "new" megane coupe is almost £30000.. for the basic diesel..

    Isn't 20% of 95bhp 19bhp, so giving a max of 114bhp?

    So close to being allowed to run a GTT engine!

    yeah.. but no one will see N/A tuning, cams etc.. and maybee a laguna 2.0 bottom end.. 130 hp easily..
