well the fit was ok of the turbo jacket, the interesting thing was after a zesty drive i was able to touch the outside of the jacket (dont try this at home kids) so it must be doing something
i have also purchased something else that requires my attention

its a westfalia so refit the trim,
refurb the 1600cc and blitz all the rust. new paint job in a sort of putty green/grey colour and then narrow beam and a healthy drop towards the black stuff
not much progress at the moment.
i have fitted a set of 285mm brakes tho which are nice and will get pics when i can.

i changed the yellow boost hose to a blue one
fitted the big brakes, just need to paint the calipers up either red or black???
having to wash it all the time it seems in this weather

i think i will paint them black just to be clean, would be nice to able to have a hi-spec set up but bit to much for me tho.
not much happening but keeping it clean in the snow.
i have decided to clean the seat rails and now thinking they need a freshen up with paint
i had 2 stone chips (the only 2 its got) sorted today.

bought some decent mikalor clamps for the boost hoses.
couple more treats for the old girl
new dials and a set of rear seat hinge covers
Was this expensive todo? i could do with my bumper painting
i paid £140 for the 2 chips and couldn't be happier (unless it never chipped in the first place)

Bought a cossie intercooler and the pipe work to fit should be in its way.
also got the bits back from the powder coaters. very pleased!

I have hit a problem
i mocked up my cossie front mount pipes today but really think i prefer my original look with bread bin

i am annoyed at myself as i like all the front mount pipe layouts i look at but in front of me i prefer the normal ...... typical
Cut your telephone hose in half, insert a bit of metal pipe and rotate it round then put your airfilter where the old intercooler went.
Will fill the big hole nicely

Im at that point with mine where im wanting to improve on the o.e layout and do away with a few pipes to clean the look of the bay up, but how far from the original set-up can you go before you lose that o.e feel.
Its a balance between mods for performance or mods to make it look nicer.

Yeah i can understand. you have the o.e setup looking great but there is still the night for you to continue.
Looking at the pics above i can see how cluttered the small pipes are that i have over looked.
Also gonna change the strut brace for this one once its powder coated gloss black
Best way i found was to take an overhead picture and look at that an work out the best way you can re-route and shorten pipes etc
