    audi tt air bag

    air bag dash light has come on,what could be the reason and whats the soilution other than sticking a bit of tape over the light? i was thinking dodgy wire in the steering wheel?

    On my BMW it's on and it's the sensor under the passenger seat which has caused this so might be that on the tt. Get a diagnostic machine on there and should point out where the problem is.

    buy a copy vagcom from gsf on ebay - p/n 989AA0280
    this will tell you whats wrong.

    Also air bag fault codes store when battery voltage is low, has it died recently?
    Code reader is the only way forward really, Vag coms a fantastic piece of kit for the vag group.

    but i was at the right place at the right time and this chap just plugged his techno plug in an got rid of the soddin light!!!
